When I wanted to pause or calm my mind,
a restaurant would always come to mind.
I first visited this place shortly after moving to Tokyo.
Everything seemed magical, and I remember leaving the restaurant feeling warm and fuzzy inside. 🥰
However, since I don’t have a car, it’s a bit hard to get to.
I kept telling myself, “I’ll stop by if I ever have a reason to be in the area,” but years passed without visiting.
The other day, I found myself with some free time. Thinking, “I’d like to go somewhere,” that restaurant came to mind again.
That’s when I realized: why wait for an excuse to visit? Why not make it my destination?
So, I went ahead and made a lunch reservation. 🤭
I took a train, a bus, another train, and transferred to yet another bus…
It felt like most of the day was spent traveling.
But gazing out at the scenery from the train window, being moved by the quietly setting sun,
and enjoying the warm conversations with the kind staff at the restaurant—
all these simple moments were incredibly healing.
Spending time at this long-unvisited place turned out to be a refreshing reset trip for my soul. 🥰

▶ ABOUT NAMI NO KURASHI
Hello, I’m Nami, living alone in Tokyo.
While Tokyo is filled with glitz and glamour, my motto is to live at my own pace.
The name “Nami no Kurashi” is a play on words, meaning both “ordinary life” and “Nami’s life.”
I don’t have any special skills or talents, but I document my everyday, nothing-extraordinary life in this vlog.
I hope you enjoy watching it at your own leisure.
