I had a baby with Down Syndrome at a daycare where I worked for a shirt time. I had take a class on developmental disabilities and learned about it before, but not until I held her did I realize there can be a large difference in muscle tone. That's something you cannot fully appreciate until you are in that hands on situation. She could not really stand yet but she was an incredible little scooter and she had everyone charmed! She'll be walking the rest of her life. She can take this time to soak in the little details. ❤
