I think the main things that made old cods gread compared to modern cod is the simpler movement (no diving, tac sprint and slide canceling) and the simple but good gun design and overall balance (weaponbalance doesn't change every month and even "bad" guns are still usable to get some kills) also the player spawn system was better, lack of engagement based matchmaking and dedicated community servers with fast connections and community controlled administration made the game so much more enjoyable...

I played mw2 mp (iw4x) in 2022 after many years. Really fun times. No cheaters, many campers, of course, but you have granades though. Today, not sure if I can retry it. It's so much fun & nostalgic, but sadly it won't bring you happiness from those memories. Maybe just a glimpse of that. Cool video, thank you for your thoughts 🎉

Hello Splishsplash! Wonderful opinion on reviving of old games. I recently downloaded this game in 2024 but could never get it too run properly. I experience frame drops when moving the curser left and right too fast. i have change my fps fov and graphic settings. i cant get the fps drop to go away. im running a 3070 ti so in theory the game should run well. any advice on fixing this issue? any help is grateful! finding a optimization guide for a 17 years old game is a task!

CoD 4 is still the best one. I also liked CoD 2 a lot. MW2 was also good. The rest is pretty bad imo.
